From wanting to be king of the world, to becoming Saved to Serve the KING of KINGS!

THE ROADS TO SALVATION

THE ROADS TO SALVATION

Each of the following collections of scripture show the fact that:

  1. All are sinners
  2. Judgment awaits sinners
  3. Christ died for our sin
  4. One can be saved through faith

The Romans Road

3:10 – 3:23 – 6:23 – 5:8 – 10:9-13

Romans 3:10As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:

Romans 3:23For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

Romans 6:23For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Romans 5:8But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

Romans 10:9-139That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.

12 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.

13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

The John Road

3:18 – 3:36 – 3:16 – 1:12 – 5:24

John 3:18He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

John 3:36He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

John 3:16For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

John 1:12But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

John 5:24Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.

The Hebrews Road

10:26 – 10:27-31 – 10:11-12 – 11:1 – 11:6

Hebrews 10:26-31 26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,

27 But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.

28 He that despised Moses’ law died without mercy under two or three witnesses:

29 Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?

30 For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people.

31 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

Hebrews 10:11-1211 And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins:

12 But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God;

Hebrews 11:1Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

The Revelation Road

21:8 – 5:12 – 3:20

Revelation 21:88 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

Revelation 5:1212 Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing.

Revelation 3:2020 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

The 1 John Road

1:8 – 5:16 – 4:9 – 4:15

1 John 1:8 8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

1 John 5:16 16 If any man see his brother sin a sin which is not unto death, he shall ask, and he shall give him life for them that sin not unto death. There is a sin unto death: I do not say that he shall pray for it.

1 John 4:99 In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.

1 John 4:1515 Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God.

The Isaiah Road

53:6 – 53:12 – 53:4-10 – 55:6-7

Isaiah 53:66 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.

Isaiah 53:1212 Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his soul unto death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.

Isaiah 53:4-10 4 Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.

But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.

He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth.

He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare his generation? for he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he stricken.

And he made his grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death; because he had done no violence, neither was any deceit in his mouth.

10 Yet it pleased the Lord to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the Lord shall prosper in his hand.

Isaiah 55:6-7Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:

Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the Lord, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.

The 1 Peter Road

4:15 – 3:18 – 1:18-19, 1:3

1 Peter 4:15But let none of you suffer as a murderer, or as a thief, or as an evildoer, or as a busybody in other men’s matters.

1 Peter 3:18 For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:

1 Peter 1:18-1918 Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;

19 But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:

1 Peter 1:3Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,

THE MESSAGE

The sinner must know six things before he can be saved.

He is a lost sinner.

  • Romans 3:10, 3:23, 1 John 1:8, Isaiah 64:6, Ecclesiastes 7:20, Romans 5:12

He is under the wrath of God because of his sin and will go to hell.

  • Romans 6:23, Revelation 20:14, John 3:36, Romans 1:18, Ezekiel 18:4, Isaiah 57:21

He cannot save himself.

  • Titus 3:5, Romans 3:20, Ephesians 2:8, Romans 11:6, Galatians 2:16, Romans 6:23, 1 John 5:11

Only Jesus can save him.

  • John 14:6, 1 Timothy 2:5, Acts 4:12, Hebrews 7:25, Hebrews 10:10, Hebrews 10:19, 1 John 1:7, John 10:9, John 12:46, John 8:24, John 6:51

Salvation is by faith in Jesus not by works.

  • Acts 16:31, John 3:16-18, John 3:36, Galatians 3:26, John 1:12, Romans 10:9, Romans 3:28

Doing nothing is as sure a way to hell as outward wickedness.

  • Hebrews 2:3, Acts 3:22-23; 13:38-41, John 3:36

A sinner’s prayer for forgiveness

Our Father which art in Heaven,

I come to you in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. I acknowledge to You that I am a sinner, and I am sorry for my sins and the life that I have lived; I need your forgiveness.

I believe that your only begotten Son Jesus Christ shed His precious blood on the cross at Calvary and died for my sins, and I am now willing to turn from my sin.

You said in Your Holy Word, Romans 10:9 that if we confess the Lord our God and believe in our hearts that God raised Jesus from the dead, we shall be saved.

Right now I confess Jesus as the Lord of my soul. With my heart, I believe that God raised Jesus from the dead. This very moment I accept Jesus Christ as my own personal Savior, and in Him alone, and according to His Word, right now I am saved.

Thank you Jesus for your unlimited grace which has saved me from my sins. I thank you Jesus that your grace never leads to license, but rather it always leads to repentance.

Therefore Lord Jesus transform my life so that I may bring glory and honor to you alone and not to myself.

Thank you Jesus for dying for me and giving me eternal life.

Amen.

An even more simple version…

“Dear Lord, I know that I am a sinner and I ask you to forgive me of all of my sin. I believe that Jesus Christ died for me and rose again from the dead. Please come into my heart and become my Lord and Savior. I trust You alone to save me. Amen.”

If you make a decision to say this prayer, ensure youdo the following things;

Accept, Acknowledge, Admit, Believe, Call Out, Confess, Receive, and Repent

to the Lord Jesus Christ
